Lake Oconee Getaway • Dock • Fire Pit • Dog Friendly

My family stayed for a long weekend after booking on a short notice. The house was beautiful inside and out, very clean and (I’m guessing) freshly renovated. The porches were great, the upstairs is screened in and we spent a lot of time there relaxing, and there are several fire pit areas downstairs and in the yard. I thought the location was perfect, near the end of a cove with a great private area. The house is the last one on that drive. It feels secluded, but travel takes only 10-15 minutes to get to the restaurant/shopping areas. My dog really enjoyed the space to run around and smell everything. I got a chance to use a kayak, really enjoyed paddling out to the wooded island and back, the weather was perfect and pleasant. The gear was in good shape. Tip for anyone using the kayaks, get a cushion from the boat dock to sit on. Really enjoyed it, plan to stay here again!
